      HOW WE MET

      We met at a time when both of us had made promises to ourselves.

      Promises to leave without fear.
      To breathe again.
      To find ourselves after chapters that had ended.

      Those promises lasted less than a week.

      Not because they were weak
      but because something stronger interrupted them.

      We came from previous relationships, carrying tender hearts
      and the quiet desire to live freely and independently.
      Yet somehow, in meeting each other,
      we forgot about living alone
      and instead discovered the courage to journey together.

      We had nothing to our names
      no certainty, no grand plans, no guarantees.

      Only hope.
      Fragile hearts.
      And faith in Jehovah God.

      It was kindness that held us.
      Patience that shaped us.
      And grace that carried us further than we imagined.

      What began with nothing but belief
      has grown into a life built with intention, love, and devotion.

      And that is how we arrived here
      still choosing each other,
      still walking together,
      still led by faith.
